Swedish supercar maker Koenigsegg has released today the full specifications of their newest supercar, the Koenigsegg Agera R, that was premiered at last month’s Geneva Motor Show. The Agera R is powered by a 5.0L twin turbo V8 engine that is able to produce 940 horsepower on standard 95-octane gasoline but when the car goes with E85 bio-ethanol this engine delivers a breathtaking power output of 1,115 horsepower and 1,200 Nm of torque.
All this power is sent to the car’s wheels through a seven speed dual clutch transmission. The 1,330 kg supercar can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, in 7.5 seconds it could reach 200 km/h and it will take 12.7 seconds to reach 200 km/h from standstill and then back to full stop. The car’s top speed is apparently over 390 km/h or 245 mph.
The carbon fiber body of the Koenigsegg Agera R creates an impressive 300 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and the rear wing and aggressive rear diffuser also stop this car from flying. Agera R will return an average fuel consumption of 14.7/100 km (16 mpg US) and it has a CO2 emissions level of 310 g/km.
The car’s interior is fitted with leather upholstery, power windows, GPS sat-nav, a powerful audio system with iPod/USB connectivity and, as an option, heated seats, four point racing harnesses, a rear view camera and a ‘naked’ carbon fiber body. The car’s official price wasn’t announced yet, but it’s probably around the mark of 1,000,000 EIR.
