BAC MONO official details, specs and images

Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has revealed the first official details and images of their BAC MONO, a road-going car that aims to bring formula 1 thrills on the streets. The BAC MONO is an ultra light street legal single seater that is powered by a 2.3L normally aspired Cosworth engine which is able to produce 280 horsepower!
This engine is coupled to a six speed sequential gearbox from Hewland with a limited slip differential. Since this car is ultralight it has a breathtaking power to weight ratio of 520 bhp/ton, even more than the Bugatti Veyron. This results in an incredible acceleration time from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, to 100 mph in just 6.7 seconds and a top speed of 170 mph or 273 km/h.
The BAC MONO has a rose jointed and aero profiled pushrod suspension set up with adjustable dampers from Sachs Racing, high performance brakes from AP Racing, HRT alloy wheels from OZ Racing and electronics and instruments from GEMS. The driver will be secured by a six point harness from Williams and this street legal racer even has a lock box for storing a helmet and the removable steering wheel.
BAC MONO is the culmination of a 12 year dream for the company’s founders, the brothers Neil and Ian Briggs who also announced that they plan to produce between 50 and 100 units of the MONO per year, each of them being priced at 79,950 GBP or about 92,000 EUR.
